It was pretty late in the afternoon by the time I got to my old/new house. I only had time to hire a maid (to clean up the mess my dad had left) and unpack my things before it was time for bed. Not much got done that first day. But luckily, today is an all new day! And what is the first thing you do when you move into a new house? Why, go out of course! For the last two years, I’ve been living under a rock…hardly living at all. It’s time to let loose and have a little fun. So, I hit the bars as soon as the clock ticked 11am! What? Don’t judge…
It was pretty empty when I got there, so I sat down and had a drink while I waited for someone to show up. And then I had another drink. And then another. And another…
Needless to say, I was pretty wasted by the time a pretty blonde walked into the bar. Well, at least I think she was pretty. From what I remember, she was smoking! But for some reason I don’t think I’m very reliable when I’m drunk. Regardless, I headed over and started throwing out my best pick-up lines.
“Do you have a library card? ‘Cause I’m checking you out!”
“Apart from being sexy, what do you do for a living? Just Kidding, I don’t really care.”
“Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got fiiine written all over you”
“I don’t know you, and you don’t know me…but let’s sleep together.”
You can say whatever you want about my pick-up lines, but she was all over me.
And before I knew what was happening….
Wowza. That girl likes to have some fun.
When we were done with that, she handed me her number and told me to call if I ever wanted to do this again. Unfortunately, that slip of paper got lost sometime during my drunken haze… Oops. Even though I only remember about half of it, that day turned out to be an amazing day. It really did feel good to finally get on with my life and have a little fun. It felt like I was alive again. I hadn’t like that way in a very long time.

Oh, Josh is such a ham. XD His pickup lines were just ridiculous I’m surprised he attracted a girl at all.
I like seeing Sims up on the exchange, I don’t always download them, but I just like being able to share them – and to have them up on the site just in case my computer crashes and I loose all of the characters. If so, I wouldn’t advise putting them up with cc, just stuff that can be found in the game.
I’d also like to see the house in more detail.
Finally, the final bit about not seeing Katelyn – it’s actually a pretty good idea! Something to keep the readers guessing!

Those lines were hilarious. Woohoo in the elevator? Frisky! haha. So the pregnancy thing is following the sims rules right? 3 days until she pops? Is there any chance the baby really isn’t his? I really hope she doesn’t decide to milk him for his money or that she suddenly wants to keep the child. Anywho, I wish there were more chapters to read. I really like this story. 🙂 As for the other questions presented I think it would be great to upload to the exchange (I rarely use it though) and when you say “see the mansion better” do you mean show screenshots of a tour of the house? That would be cool.
Yes, I decided to follow the Sims rules of a 3 day pregnancy instead of the real life 9-month one. It (obviously) seems more unrealistic this way, but I just feel like I’d have to skip over soo much time if I was going with the traditional 9 months. You’ll just have to wait and see what happens! I update every Monday. (wordpress time)

Yeah it’s something I’m debating for my story (not happening yet though) as well. Every chapter takes a few sim days so I was wondering how I could possibly drag out her pregnancy. lol.
Well, for me, I can always add events to chapters if I want to make it longer. It doesn’t have to be huge or dramatic, or even about the pregnancy, but just little entertaining things here and there. or maybe add something that doesn’t seem important now, but might be later. Or just talk about what’s going on in Josh’s head! But there’s just something about saying “And 6 months later…” that I don’t like. That’s a huge chuck of their life that I’m just skipping out on. A lot can happen in that time! So that’s why I decided on Sim days. I’m sure you’ll do great with whatever you decide on, though. 🙂

Unfortunately, it seems like Josh is a little bit too much like his father. Let me guess, is he a hopeless romantic? Flirty? Family oriented? Anyways, I understand he wants a son as a remembrance of Michael, but doesn’t that mean he just isn’t letting go of his past? Including, wouldn’t that be an awkward thing to explain to his son later on (if he ever did)?
Anyways, I hope Kaetyln (not sure if I spelt that right) changes her ways. She is quite a vain person. While I am not sure if I want her and Josh to get together… I at least want her to be around her child. BTW, what expansion packs do you have? Are you excited for University Life? Also, do you have any Stuff Packs? I don’t, I find them kind of a waste of money even though some of the items look cool.

Erm, I’m not much of a Sim house builder- or builder at all(might be able to tell from my Sims house) but I’m sure some other simmers do.

Sure! Probably no CC, just to make it less of a hassle for most. But if there is something vital to him which is CC (like hair for example) then go ahead. Maybe I could input him into my game somehow. Then we could do a crossover ;)! Of course, my writing would never match up to yours and I would take up like five chapters about it (I mean come on, who else has twelve chapters and has barely progressed in Generation 1)? The main reason I haven’t updated in a while is that I was working SOOO hard (like two hours) on a house for a very poor family I was planning on bringing into the story, and the game wouldn’t save and crashed so I have kind of have been holding a grunge on the game :/!
Oh gosh. I’m sorry. 😦 I do the same thing. If my game crashes and I lose a day (which isn’t thatttt long) I hold of playing that save again for the longest time, just because I don’t want to re-play that day or have another crash, lol. I don’t mind a lot of chapters being in gen 1, I like it actually. 🙂 Plus your chapters are a litttle shorter than some others I’ve seen, so that’s understandable. Hahaha but a cross-over would be cool! And I look forward to seeing your next update! 🙂
Yes, Josh is a bit like his father. Though I hope that doesn’t make you hate him, he has his good and bad sides. He doesn’t just want a son because of Michael, but also because he kind of now (because of what happened to him and his upbringing) has a thing again girls. And I’m stopping there, because I don’t want to give TOO much away. 🙂
I have Seasons, Pets, Ambitions, Late Night, and Generations. No stuff packs, I don’t need them. I have my cc 😉 haha. I’m not sure about University life yet, I haven’t read too much on it. I LOVED the sims 2 expansion for it, but I have some concerns for the Sims 3. I’m hoping for the best, though!

Hahaha yeah, generation 2 comes pretty fast! Glad I could make you laugh! 🙂 Josh isn’t looking to replace Michael exactly. There’s a few reasons he wants a boy. He kind of has a thing against woman now, after all that happened to him. He thinks he’ll be able to connect with a boy a lot more. But there’s no doubt that he also wants back what he had with Michael.

Haha yes, it was definitely fast. Probably a little toooo fast, but this is a Sims legacy after all! I decided to go with Sim time for pregnancies because I really didn’t want to say something like “And 4 months later…” because that is such a big chunk of their life to just skip. Though I still probably could have waited a little longer to get a girl pregnant. 😉
